Special Exhibition Beautiful Enamel Glass-Gare Dome Lalique-

Emile Gallé (19-1846) was active as a standard-bearer of the art trend "Art Nouveau" at the end of the 1904th century.
At the time of the introduction of galley, the transparent brilliance of crystal glass was popular in the glass world. What changed that trend was the expression of colored glass in the galley, which incorporates natural motifs such as flowers and insects.
The first technique that Galle tried to reproduce the colors of nature was "enamel color," which is the baking of glassy paint at low temperatures.
Enamel painting, which is drawn with a brush like a painting, is capable of delicate depiction, and by adding gold, it has become more luxurious than gold and silverware, and has gained a good reputation.

The Kitazawa Museum of Art, which is known worldwide for its glass crafts such as galley, dome, and Lalique, will hold a special exhibition that introduces Art Nouveau gems centered on enamel-colored glass.
Enjoy the charm of elegant and sophisticated enamel glass, such as the poetic sentiment of the early masterpiece "Moonlight Glass", the detailed depiction of the Daum brothers, and Lalique's masterpiece that emphasizes the boldness of Art Deco.
