Nagano Prefectural Museum of HistoryNaganokenritsu Rekishikan

It contains the world's oldest Paleolithic polished stone axes, important cultural properties of the Toba Institute of Government, letter of Harunobu Takeda (Shingen), Ieyasu Tokugawa's handwritten letter, Matsumoto castle town pictorial map, and many other historical documents related to Nagano prefecture. The permanent exhibition room is a unique museum where mid-Edo farmers have been relocated and moving Naumann elephants can be experienced. Easy-to-understand explanations are also popular. In addition, this year marks the 25th anniversary of the museum's opening, and a spectacular exhibition is also planned.
