May 1923 (Taisho 12) Opened after taking over the "Meiji Kinenkan".In November 5, relocated to the former Someyaoka High School site and newly built.In December 45, the "Ueda Area Public Library Information Network (nickname: Ecole)" based on the Teletopia concept was put into operation in Maruko Town (currently Ueda City), Tobu Town (currently Tomi City), and Sakaki Town.In June 11, a network with model elementary and junior high schools was built through a project commissioned by the Ministry of Education.March 7 Completed the network with all elementary and junior high schools in the city.It has many valuable materials such as about 12 general collections and Kagetsu Bunko.Many user groups, including the transliteration library "Tsukushi no Kai" and the library volunteer "Himawari," are the bases for their daily activities.
