Former Sanada ResidenceSanada Tei

With the reform of the Edo shogunate, the system to replace employees was eased, and the mother of the 1864th feudal lord, Sadamatsu-in, who had been ordered to live in Edo, returned to Matsushiro and was built as a residence in 1981 (Genjigen). It was designated as a National Historic Site in April 56 (Showa 4) as one of Matsushiro Castle because of its great significance as a site in the late Edo period.
