The former Takemura family house attached to the Komagane City Folk Museum is a renovation and reconstruction of the former house of the Takeshi Takemura family. It is a valuable private house as a typical middle-class Edo farmhouse in the region. In June 1966, it was designated as a National Important Cultural Property.
