OMACHI ALPINE MUSEUM（SANPAKU）Shiritsu Omachi Sangaku Hakubutsukan
Under the theme of "Nature and People in the Northern Alps," the theme introduces the nature and history of the mountains, centered on the Kitate Alps. In the "Mountains and Creatures" section, the life history of Japanese serows and Japanese grouse is explained with abundant specimens. You can learn while touching the real thing. In the "Mountains and People" section, you can see various folk and mountain climbing materials that show how people in the Kitaazumi region have lived with the mountains. In the attached garden, you can see the Japanese serow and the alpine plant Dicentra up close.
