Kota Taniuchi (1947-2019) made her debut in 1969 with her first picture book, "Grandfather's Bai Orin," drawn by her uncle Rokuro Taniuchi.After that, "Natsu no Asa" (1970) won the Bologna Children's Book Exhibition Graphic Award for the first time as a Japanese person, and attracted attention both at home and abroad from early on.
In this exhibition, along with the original picture books, the cover paintings of magazines such as "Weekly Shincho" and oil paintings that he has worked on for the rest of his life will be exhibited to introduce Kota Taniuchi's painting work.
