I want to show you the 20th anniversary of the opening!Japanese painting collection
-From the big view "selflessness" to the new collection!-

The Mizuno Art Museum was opened in Nagano City in 2002 based on the modern Japanese painting collection collected by the late Masayuki Mizuno, the founder of Hokuto Corporation, a comprehensive mushroom company.

And in July 2022, the hotel will celebrate its 7th anniversary. In commemoration of this, this exhibition will feature a selection of masterpieces, including the masterpiece from the beginning of the museum, Taikan Yokoyama "Selflessness", as well as the new collections of Kogetsu Saigo, Uemura Shoen, and Kiyokata Kaburagi, which will be exhibited for the first time this time. I will introduce you.In addition, the museum's "want to see / fascinate" thoughts are released from various angles, such as the exhibition of valuable materials that are not normally open to the public, episodes related to the Mizuno Art Museum and writers / works, and the introduction of the recommended works of the curator of the museum!

We hope that you will fully experience the charm of Mizuno Art Museum on this special occasion to celebrate the anniversary.

* Some exhibitions will be changed during the exhibition period (first half: August 8nd – August 2th, second half: August 8th – September 28th)

* Yokoyama Taikan "Selflessness" will be exhibited during this session.
